2017 - New Year, New Convictions, New Commitments!

As the sun rises over the horizon, lighting up the dawn of the New Year, God has been speaking to me to make a new commitment to Him and His Calling on my life.

In years past, I - like so many of you - have made New Year’s Resolutions. But Resolutions are made for the breaking. But commitments, like God’s promises, are made for the keeping. I have been encouraged of the Lord to put aside Resolutions for the making of real, heartfelt, commitments. And I would encourage each of you to take up this challenge, too.

But commitment needs conviction. Dictionary.com defines convictions as;
“A fixed or firmly held belief.”

Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 2:19, NLT; But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and “All who belong to the Lord must turn away from evil.”

This truth is what we fix our convictions of faith on. It is firm … firmer than any thought that we may have. We will use His Truth, His Word, as the basis for all we share with you, our sisters in the faith.

Our goal at Ministry of Mom is to encourage you in your God-given Ministries. In 2017, we will look at:
  • Starting Fresh,
  • Finding your joy,
  • Simplicity in Priority,
  • Springing into action,
  • Sharing your vision,
  • Listening to His Spirit,
  • Quenching not His Spirit,
  • Everyone is a Minister,
  • Being accountable,
  • Discipling another, and
  • Giving Thanks for being His servant.
To finish out the year we will review what we have learned through the process and ask you to review your journey, also.

So. Happy New Year!  And Happy New Convictions and Commitments to your Ministry!

Sister Leigh
